Hi Witt's! Just wanted to say hello and tell you that we love you! Love, The Maxwell's

Jason Geeck 7/4/2008 7:28:05 PM

Witt family, I've been out of touch for quite some time, and am very saddened by your loss. May she guide and protect you the rest of your days.

Joe Witt Jr. 5/13/2008 8:34:14 PM

I would like to thank evryone who joined us on May 3rd 2008 for the first of many golf tournaments. Thanks to Jonathan, Joshua, Jeremy, Ali and Jerry for helping in making the first one a blast. Thanks to Pat, Kathy, Debbie, Barb and all of the other volunteers that put in a big effort. We raised a lot of money to help the CTF find the cure for NF but there is still a long road to be traveled. Vicki may not be here with us physically but I could tell that her spirit was with us all the day of the tournament and continues to be with the family as we work on other fun events. Vick I cannot begin to tell you how much that you are missed by everyone, but our pain is eased knowing we will see you again. I know for a fact that I am and always will be a better person for knowing you and remebering your forever bright smile. Thanks again to everyone and I know that we all look forward to seeing you again next year May 2nd 2009.

Steve & Regan Schwartz 4/7/2008 9:22:58 PM

We were truly touched to have met Vicki and to become so close to one of her sons. We are so excited to be a part of the tournament and the many mre years to come!

Santa Barbara Woodie Club 4/6/2008 1:28:42 PM

Hi. I just heard about the golf tournament last weekend and would love to be able to attend, but at this time that would not be practical. I would be interested in having our club sponsor a hole if that would still be a possability. Let me know as it will take a couple days to get approval from our board members. If there are no hole sponsorships available, then perhaps we could forward along a donation. Respectfully, Ron Dugger, President Santa Barbara Woodie Club

David/Sherri Duarte 3/19/2008 12:40:42 PM

We were very honored and bleesed that your family has let us be a part of vickiscure. Your passios is a reflection of all the postings I have read about your mother. We are saddend by your loss but greatful for the the oppertunity to help be a small part of what WILL be VICKI's CURE!! Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Nina Seim  2/27/2008 5:10:38 PM

Hello, I heard about your golf tournament on the radio yesterday and my company, Matter of Flax LLC (Prescott, AZ) would LOVE to donate some of our flax crackers for your event. As you may know flax helps fight cancer and has many health benifits which would go along the lines of what your organization stands for. If you are interested please contact me! nina@matterofflax.com

Jayme Kaufman 2/15/2008 12:27:33 AM

To The Witt family, I am grateful you got some mention at the coyotes game tonight. My son has NF1 and we would like to see more reschearch towards a cure but that costs money keep up the good work.

Vicki's Cure Charity Golf 1/21/2008 5:16:20 PM

The time has come for the 1st Annual Vicki’s Cure Charity Golf Tournament. That’s right, Vicki’s Cure.org has teamed up with the Children’s Tumor Foundation to raise awareness and money in an effort to solve the NF Puzzle, and find a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF). Vicki Witt, the life behind this tournament, suffered from Type-1 neurofibromatosis which took her life in November 2006, but she never truly let this disorder beat her. Her fight continues on, and we would like to invite you to join the battle by participating in this 1st Annual Vicki’s Cure Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday May 3, 2008 at The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain. The tournament will be limited to the first 144 paying players. We thank you for considering participation in this event, and support of this worthy charity. If you cannot participate as a player, we encourage your involvement as a hole sponsor, too. More details will be on VickisCure.org shortly...

This Sunday you ALL will be in my thoughts and prayers as it will be the first Mother's Day without your Mom. Use this day to remember all that she did for you and how much she loved each one of you. Tell each other those funny stories! When I miss your Mom or think of her, I still come to her website and thank God for sharing her with me even if it was a short period of time...I know that we will be together again. My love to you all, Rossana

God bless you and keep you in His loving care.

"Praise be to the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion & the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows." ~2Corinthians 1:3-5~ You will continue to always be in my prayers and my families prayers. With love, Ally

Jerry just wanted to let you know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and with your strong family bond and your faith I know you will be just fine. If you ever need anything were just two houses down. Take care.

Peggy Cianciola 12/13/2006 5:03:05 AM

Vicki was such a fun and loving woman. I worked with her at Chaparral for a number of years. She always had a smile on her face, whether it was for a fellow staff member or for a child. Her face was radiant. Every Christmas I think of Vicki and Jerry when I bring out my decorations. The wooden soldiers stand guard at the door and the reindeer greets all our guests. I regret losing touch with her over the years. She could tell the best stories. Always liked the one about the boys and their socks. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Take Care!

Julie and Andy Black  12/13/2006 3:51:38 AM

Jerry and Guys, We were unable to speak with you at the service. And what a wonderful service it was. We were totally unaware of Vicki's illness or your ordeal. Thankfully a Phx. Firefighter called us so we could make the service. I look at you guys and think how blessed you were to have Vicki as your wife and mom. What a WOMAN and role model. God Bless you always! We have the same phone number 623-465-9238 but our new address is P.O. box 165 Wittmann, Az 85361

I worked with Vicki a short time since I am relatively new to Bechtel. I sat in the cubicle next to hers and I enjoyed seeing her every day. She had a wonderful smile that radiated sincerity which I found comfort in being new at the company and to AZ just through our morning chats. She would share stories of your trip to NY (my home town) and her family (her heart). I even saw a picture of Josh's new tattoo :) Anyway, I send you all best my heartfelt regrets for your (our) lose and may god bless all of you. Thank you Vicki for your instant friendship.

Jeff Penzone and Family 12/12/2006 2:21:53 PM

Though I did not know Vicki well, I do know her son, Jeremy very well. If Jeremy is any indication of who Vicki was here on earth, I know that she was a wonderful mother, wife and example of Christ. The character and integrity shown by Jeremy day in and day out (especially during this time)is a HUGE tribute to who she is as well as a tribute to Jerry. Legacies do live. Thank you for allowing us into your lives, from myself, Nancy, Trev, Liz, Adam and Lexie.

Audrey Pavitt 12/12/2006 2:03:58 PM

Vicki was such an inspiration to all who worked with her. Many people don't know how to deal with a colleague's "disability". Vicki taught them how, with her positive and cheerful attitude, indomitable spirit and wonderful sense-of-humor. This was her legacy to us all. Seeing her "bio" on Saturday made me realize how short a time I actually knew Vicki - but in that brief "moment" of her life I was blessed to call her my friend. She definitely touched my life and changed me. Jerry, Jeremy, Josh and Jon, know that you have something precious in this world that many never have - a close, loving family with a vibrant and beautiful - and good right through to her soul- wife and mother. I know that you have wonderful memories, and Vicki's strength, to sustain you.

Barbara Lentz 12/12/2006 11:44:33 AM

I work with Kelly who guided me to this website. What a wonderful family and so many great memories. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for allowing us to come into your lives and share your wonderful memories. Barbara

I stumbled onto this site and after reading all of the great things said about this Loved One, I wanted to let the Witt family know that you are in my prayers.

You are an inspiration and testament to the word Grace. Your steadfastness and grace which you have show throughout this whole ordeal is a testimony to your faith and the grace of God. We had no idea of the condition with which Vicki lived with. We pray for what lies in the future for each of you. Follow Jesus, trust in him, allow him to lead and listen to his soft gentle voice. We are proud to be called friends of the Witts. God bless and heal you all. Mike & Brigitte DePinto 602-402-5294

Robin Christenson 12/11/2006 11:21:38 AM

To Jerry, Jeremy, Josh & Jon. How I wish vicki and I hadn't lost touch after the boys grew up! My heart aches knowing I can't turn back time and see her again to talk about how much fun we had raising our boys and sharing good times at Chaparral. She was so proud of her family! She was such fun! It is a comfort to know we will all see her again someday. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Faye

Ryan Raths 12/9/2006 9:01:58 PM

Dear Foot and my 3 friends, I will always be there for you and your family. Today's ceremony really touched my heart and soul. Jeremy, you did an excellent job remembering your mother and sharing with us your memories. I was happy to hear her poetry and as a writer felt an immediate connection to her. I felt very at peace today and know that although we are without her here, Vicki is in heaven because she accepted Jesus as her savior.

Susan Wright 12/9/2006 7:50:58 PM

Dear Jerry, What a beautiful tribute today's service was to Vicki - it was truely a celebration! She was such an inspiration to others and witness for our Lord! You and your sons must be so proud of how well she both lived and died. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers in the days to come.

Dan & Vicki Koons 12/9/2006 5:30:35 PM

Jerry, Vicki has touched my heart many times through the years with her poetry. She was always able to write just the right words for any occasion. She was an inspiration to many. Our prayers are with you and your sons.

Mary Roth 12/9/2006 4:51:15 PM

As a newcomer to Chaparral School many years ago, I so appreciated the kindness, helpfulness, and welcome from Vicki. She was a special lady and I'm most appreciative to have made her acquaintance. It's my hope and prayer that the many memories you all share will comfort you now.

Chrisitna Holeyfield 12/9/2006 2:40:21 PM

My heart truly broke today after I left the service; Vicki was there for me at a time where I felt like no one was there, she helped me, along with Jerry and Jon, when things were rough. My life changed that day and it was because of Vicki. When i saw her again at CCV I was overcome with happiness and today all I can say is thank you so much to her and her wonderful family for taking care of me when I needed a shoulder to cry on. I will remember Vicki always and am overjoyed to know I will see her again someday.

Chuck and Kim Sutton 12/8/2006 8:45:40 PM

Jerry,Jon,Josh and Jeremy...you have been in our thoughts and prayers constantly over the past year. What a journey you have been through. Our love, chuck and kim

Kelly Francis 12/8/2006 3:50:01 PM

Jerry and boys, The love your family has for one another is amazing! I think of every single one of you daily. Being with Vicki the last week of her life has really made me a better person. I thank you for that. I love you all.

Sue Wilson 12/8/2006 1:20:38 PM

Oh my, how we'll miss her! I only pray my life can begin to make the kind of difference hers has made. God did a good thing when He made Vicki Witt!

Barbara Gianatassio Reber 12/8/2006 10:08:56 AM

Vicky's presence was such a "gift" to us all. We ached for your family as she went through her surgeries...and were "euphoric" when she returned looking "so amazingly beautiful". Always the smiles, always... the strength. For those of us who've been lucky enough, Vicky has shared herself through her "poems"....Mine has remained on my coffee table since 11/15/03. For Vicki's family, my prayers and encouragement - to know that Life is good and does go on, whether we think it will nor not. I too lost a beloved husband and father, 5 years ago Dec 5th. We've lived that loss and the relief-when God calls the "loved one" home and the "suffering and pain" finally ends. Days will pass with a little less aching every day...and yet "all the wonderful, funny, loving, moments of your lives together will remain with you always. With love, Barbara G.

Harry and Betty Nowaskey 12/8/2006 3:13:41 AM

We pray that the beautiful memories created with your family will also help comfort them during this difficult season. Debbie,Eric & family

** Ron and Cliah ** 12/7/2006 11:21:01 AM

Dear Jerry and family, I would like to send my dearest apologies to your family. I am very sorry about the loss of your loved one. I never had the privilege to meet this wonderful lady but I knew that she was an amazing person just from how Jerry talked about her in our class. As Jerry always told there are nothing more important then family and that family always come first. We miss you and from the bottom of our hearts we are very sorry for the loss.

Serge & Aline Martial 12/7/2006 8:10:00 AM

Although Aline and I never had the pleasure to meet Vicki, we know how much she meant to Jonathan who we met just a few months ago. We understand the pain and the sorrow he and his sibling must feel after this unfortunate loss but we know how strong and positive he is and it seems to be a trait of his mother based on what we read. On behalf of ProBill, the NES Healthcare Group, and their employees, please accept our most sincere condolences. We are looking forward to see Jonathan again soon. All the best, Serge Martial President

Mike, Pam & Skylar Shultz 12/7/2006 2:41:05 AM

Foot -- You have been a good friend of the Shultz's for probably 50 years now. I can say that I have known you all of MY life. You and Vicki have been an inspiration to many people. There are only a handful of people who have walked through life as you and Vicki have, with smiles always, even during such adversity. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jerry, and your sons. Hey man, groovy, out of sight, Waimea, shoot the curl, hang 10, 10-4, skateboard. Mike Shultz

Peggy & Bobby Urton 12/7/2006 12:11:09 AM

Jerry & family, We were saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved wife and mother. It was an honor to know Vicki. Her love and caring shine through all of you. I don't think she could ask for a better legacy! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Here is a poem I'd like to share: DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP by Mary Frye Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.

Leslie Nava 12/6/2006 11:09:27 PM

I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge the courage and braveness that I am sure your daughter had through all her days here with you. I am a random person who read of your daughters passing in the paper. I may be random, but I share something with vicki. I am a 32 year old female living with NF2. I have had several brain surgeries, and am partially deaf. My mother lost my brother to NF2 so I know what the pain is like to say goodbye. The Lord laid it on my heart to leave this message to honor the courage your daughter had. May your family feel the healing hand of the lord on your hearts each and every new day. God bless witt family.

The Peck Family 12/6/2006 8:46:33 PM

Our hearts and prayers are with all of Vicki's family and friends. She was LOVED!

Debbie Trejo 12/6/2006 8:37:21 PM

To the Witt Family, My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I will miss Vicki greatly. Her smiley face, warm heart and faith are so inspiring to me. You are blessed to have her as a wonderful mother and wife. Vicki wrote my daughter (born 11/19/2006) a wonderful and heartfelt poem that she placed in a picture frame that I will forever cherish and keep on my daughters nightstand always! I know she is up in heaven watching over all of us! Vicki.. until we meet again.

Cheryl Torchia 12/6/2006 11:11:39 AM

I had the privilege of working with Wicki on many occasaions in the women's ministry. Her willingness to serve I will always remember. She had courage and heart. She was a difference maker. Jerry and family you are in my prayers. Hold on to those precious memories till we all meet again.

Ted & Sheri Irish 12/6/2006 9:39:27 AM

Jerry & boys, it was with deep sorrow that we learned of Vicki's passing last week. What an awesome example of strength, courage and faith that beautiful lady has been. Your family is part of the fabric of CCV; we pray for God's comfort and peace for your family and joy in knowing Vicki is with the Lord and without pain.

Penny Brown  12/6/2006 9:19:28 AM

I didn't have the opportunity to meet Vicki and haven't met the Witt family yet, but I excited that I will meet her in Heaven and I will look for the Witts at church. What an inspiration of faith and joy that Vicki has been to the world just by seeing her pictures! The Angels are dancing and Vicki is rejoicing to be with our Savior. To God be the glory! She has finished her course here on earth. To all the Witt family, we all feel the pain of your loss and grieve with you and will continue that God will comfort you. Love in Christ, Penny

Pat DeGraff 12/6/2006 7:11:05 AM

Vicki-my dear sister, there are no words to describe what an honour and privilege having you be a member of our family has meant to me. You married into our Witt family, but you were never an in-law to me, but truly a sister. You have brought such joy and comfort to me and truly are an inspiration to anyone whose life you touched. I will miss all our talks and strolls down the boardwalk, but will always have those special memories. Jerry, Jeremy, Alli, Josh and Jon will be taken care of as I promised. The next part of your journey has begun without us, but we will all be together again someday. Until we meet again sister- All My Love
